A replica 155 mm Long Tom artillery gun-howitzer on Long Tom Pass at the last location where the actual cannon saw action during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899 to 1902. The gun-howitzer was built by Schneider et Cie in Le Creusot, France, of which four were acquired by the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek to guard the capital city of Pretoria, but were instead used as field guns in the field against the British forces, who nick-named it Long Tom.
