Dr Hendrik Verwoerd was the founder of racial segragation, better known as 'Apartheid' in South Africa, from 1948 to its total abolishment in 1994. Here his statue still stands, staring into the sunset on a hill in Orania, a small semi-autonomous rightwing state along the Orange River. No black people care to enter this place and all labour is done by whites. 29° 48' " South & 24° 25' " East.
