The massive granite statue of the founder of The Kruger National Park, President Paul Kruger, stands at the entrance to the park at 'Paul Kruger gate'. Land for the The Kruger Park was set aside in 1889 and the statue was erected. ANC members of the area want to have it removes and replaced by a king that ruled during the 1830's.
