The windmill is an iconic sight in the South African rural landscape, especially in the arid Karoo where water is a precious commodity. An assortment of windmills in a number makes and sizes can be seen in 'The Windmill Museum' in the Karoo town of Loeriesfontein. Co-ordinates = 30° 57' " South & 19° 26' " East.
