Homer Spit is located in Homer, Alaska on the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula. The spit extends miles into Kachemak Bay. In the summer it serves up to 1500 commercial and pleasure boats in its harbour, and is popular with tourists and fishermen for its campgrounds, hotels, and restaurants. The Alaska Marine Highway's MV Tustumena mainly runs between Kodiak, Seldovia, Port Lions, and Homer.
