Saber Junction 16 is Army Europe’s combat training center certification exercise designed to evaluate the readiness of the 173rd Airborne Brigade’s ability to conduct unified land operations and promote interoperability in a joint, multinational environment. The exercise is being held March 31 - April 24, 2016 and includes nearly 5,000 participants from 16 NATO and European partner nations. The 173rd Airborne Brigade, based in Vicenza, Italy, is the Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, and is capable of projecting forces to conduct a full range of military operations across the European, Central and Africa Command’s areas of responsibility.
