They do not tell us in which year he arrived in America,but he nuist have come about 1803, for in 1806 his son, David Washing-ton, was born. Some correspondents think he came to Pennsylvania andwent from there to Maryland, where it ai)pears his children were name of the woman he married is not reported, but judging fromthe name, David Washington, she was closely linked with Revolutionarysires. Nicholas Bayer, it appears returned to Germany, perhaps on avisit, it is really not known, and died there about 1862. His boyswere David Washington, William, Thomas, John, and Basil.
