Theprint is then adjusted over the film, andthe frame closed up. Before exposing tothe light, it must be masked so as tocover up the portions already printed the case of a spire or masts, as alreadyreferred to, they may be ignored, and theclouds printed right over them. If printedto the proper depth, the slight differencein tint on them will not be Angkl rKTLKi;. The two great mistakes made by novicesin this work are printing too deeply andjoining up abruptly. The lighter the skyis printed, the more natural will be theeffect, and the easier to produce ; whilethe workers aim should be to vignettethe landscape portion into the sky portion,and not to make both join good skies may often be introducedon the negative itself by means of localtreatment with aramonium persulphate, asdescribed in the section On care is, however, required to pro-duce artistic results. Angel Pictures. A very pleasing way of making angelpictures is as follows :—Procure two duckswings.
