Description The colonies examined range in length from 70 mm to 90 mm. Colonies are planar, branching is dichotomous, relatively sparse from a single basal stem. Polyps are densely arranged in two rows along each branch and are placed opposite or alternate to one another. The contracted polyps are relatively robust and somewhat clavate, and rarely exceed 1 mm in length. Sclerites of the coenenchyme and surface of the polyps are scales that vary in length from 0,04 mm to 0,17 mm. Many are somewhat bone-shaped with very fine.
