Oslo City Hall, Oslo, Norway

Oslo's City Hall 'Rådhuset' sits at the head of Oslo Fjord overlooking the Harbour. This is the site of the award of the Nobel Peace Prize each year. Construction started in 1931 but due to a pause in construction for the war, its final inauguration was in 1950. Designed by Arnstein Arneberg and Magnus Poulsson. The roof of the eastern tower contains a 49 bell carillon. The building is home to artwork and murals from Norwegian artists including Edvard Munch and sculptures from Norwegian sculptors surround the building.
