A primary marksmanship instructor with Edson Range, Weapons and Field Training Battalion, assists a recruit from Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, with his sitting position during grass week at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 17. The PMIs corrected the recruits’ shooting positions to improve their ability to accurately fire their weapons for qualification. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 23.
