Old Dutch coaster being used as a floating restaurant at Nijmegen, Netherlands, with Nijmegen bridge over the River Waal behind

Floating restaurant in an idyllic setting at Nijmegen. Nijmegen Bridge was one of the key targets for Operation Market Garden in 1944. It was famously captured by US paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division, as depicted in the film "A Bridge Too Far". The bridge is now named the General James Gavin Brug (bridge) after the commander of the American troops.
