Becker, the decorative sentimentbeing here very pleasant, and accompanied bymuch orderliness of form. M. Carlo Bugattishowed a beautiful silver dish, with fishes as thedecorative motifs, but this artist in striving to giveproof of imaginativeness has fallen into strangeextravagances. I should not care for a service ofwhich the cafetiere, the teapot, the sugar basinand milk-ewer took the shape of an elephantshead adorned with huge ivory tusks ! A. S.
