Working Boatmen near Thattekkad Bird Sanctury in Kerala, India

Travelling between Munnar and Kochin in Kerala, we took a short cut to visit the Thattakkad Bird Sanctuary. Close to the sanctuary we came across these friendly men working hard transporting building materials for construction. The heavy stones and bricks where unloaded from a lorry and transferred man to man down to these boats on the river. It was hot hard back breaking work but the men remained cheerful and loved having their photographs taken.
