The Countess is represented on her favourite hunter Brilliant, with two favourite hounds, named Gambler and Charity, at its feet. It is a striking and pleasing likeness, and was executed by F. Grant, Esq., at a cost of five hundred Joseph Kirkham, the secretary to the committee, who has been indefatigable in carrying out the presentation, read, on behalf of the subscribers, an address to her ;I shall always value it," said her Ladyship, "as a work of art; but it is still dearer to me as a mark of the love and good-feeling existing between us".'
