Sculpture by Globe Brandell outside Trump International Hotel, Columbus Circle, Manhattan, New York City
In the triangular-shaped plaza facing Columbus Circle, Donald Trump placed a stainless steel skeleton of the globe that has become an icon of this corner of Central Park. The city has embraced the sculpture to such an extent that most visitors are unaware that it actually belongs to a private entity. This monument is a symbol of internationality already characteristic of the works of billionaire Trump, who has always recognized the importance of promoting his “lustful” projects internationally.
