Stockyard & outbuildings of Carreg Fawr farmhouse: one of the 'model farms' built on Bardsey Island 1870-75 by Lord Newborough. Part of the left-hand range is used as a hermitage, building on R as an oratory. Artist & writer Brenda Chamberlain lived on Bardsey 1947-61, mainly in Carreg farmhouse; she described her experiences in the book Tide-race published in 1962.
