Resolved, fifth, That every charge attaining unto a self-supportingbasis be put upon a special roll of honor and published with our reportsin the Conference minutes. Whereas, this Board is charged with the responsibility of determiningwhat appropriations shall be made to the mission charges of the Con-ference—a responsibility which cannot, under our disciplinary law, beshared even with the Conference itself—and, Whereas, its plain duty is to bring those charges to a basis of self-support as speedily as possible, not only for the sake of the charges them-selves, but also for the sake of releasing money for the development ofnew and promising fields; therefore, be it Resolved, first, That the policy of the Board in supplementing thesalaries of certain of our charges looks only toward temporary relief ingetting new charges on their feet.
