Sicotte, foreman of EngineNo. 3, Oakland, was born in Canada,May 8, 1856, and came to California in1863. He joined the Fire Department inSeptember 1878, and was promoted fore-man of Engine No. 3, in October, W. C. WHITE W. C. White, foreman of Engine , Oakland, was born in New OrleansJanuary, 1840, and came to Californiain 1852. He joined the Fire Depart-ment in 1872 and was promoted foremanof Engine No. 4 on March 15, 1883.
