180208-N-LI768-1014 SAN DIEGO (Feb. 8, 2018) — Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Jaymes Cudjo, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), fires an M4 carbine during a weapons qualification onboard Naval Base San Diego. Makin Island is in dry dock at General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) for a depot-level maintenance availability.
