Mystic Van Eijk (pink) and Lady Van Eijk (red) are both Darwin Hybrid Tulips in the gardens of Kuekenhof, Lisse in the south of Holland. The tulip are named after Charles Darwin (1809-1882), best known for his work, and was the pioneering naturalist who lent his name to the Darwin and Darwin-Hybrid tulips groups The name, ÔKeukenhofÕ meaning Kitchen garden created in 1949 is a 32 hectares (79 acres) garden, one of the worldÕs largest gardens and is known as the ÔGarden of EuropeÕ.
