Nellie Dean's (centre mid-distance), a karaoke bar, live tribute acts and party venue, lies opposite the Metropole Hotel, along the promenade north of Blackpool's North Pier. The Metropole Hotel (left foreground), so-named since 1896, is one the two oldest in Blackpool, opening in 1785. The later tramway follows the promenade around the hotel.
