In the Adirondacks In detail, the starting point may be madeat Rainbow Lake, going south through Os-good Pond and Spitfire Lake, and then throughBear Pond into Little Clear Pond, with ashort portage into Upper Saranac; then con-. From here theroute lies up the lake to Marion River intoLake Utowana, and into the Raquette River,coming out at Middle Saranac. Follow thestream from the lake into Loon Bay, toLower Saranac, continuing on to Blooming-dale.
