Apr. 18, 1848, who was the mother offour children. She d. July 17, 1886, and he m. second, Sept. 5, 1893, MaryJane Miller, daughter of Jacob and Caroline Miller of Miller Township,Pa., b. Dec. 10, 1852. By this union no issue. Mr. Milliken attended thepublic schools, and Pierces Business College in the city of taught school and studied medicine with his uncle, William Milliken,but when ready to enter college his health failed and he went home andsettled on his fathers farm, where he regained his health, and has sincebeen a farmer. He has long been a man of prominence in his county. Hehas held nearly all of the township offices and served two terms in thePennsylvania Legislature. He is now a Justice of the Peace.
