COUNTY BUILDINGS. In the spring of 1872 the question of erecting countybuildings at Belleville and building a bridge across theRepublican at New Scandinavia was agitated, all agreeingthat these improvements were badly needed. Petitionswere circulated and signed, principally by those living inthe vicinity of tbe two points named. These petitionswere presented to the Board of County Commissioners ata meeting held June 14th, 1872, asking that an election becalled for the purpose of voting the bonds of the county to a ; a. r- O c Cc c CD cc p B. Said bonds to be drawn inamounts of $1,500 each, with interest coujDonsattached,payable annually, on the 1st day of July at the rate of 7per cent., three thousand r^ollars of said bonds to be paidJuly 1st, 1877, and three thousand dollars each year there-after,
