The image is of First World War memorabelia outside the museum and church of the Basilica of Notre Daue de Brebieres in Albert with the famous spire of the Golden Virgin overlooking Albert and the Somme countryside. The church was totally destroyed during the First World War when it was said whenever the Golden Virgin falls the war will end. She fell in April 1918 during the German Spring Offensive that signalled the end of the war.
