Davidsons model Orchid estab-lishment has answered the expectation ofits enthusiastic proprietor. At the com-mencement Mr. Davidson was fortunate insecuring the services of Mr. J. Lakin, whohad been so successful in raising Odontoglossumsand other hybrids when with Messrs. WilliamBull and Sons, at Chelsea, as manager, and hisexperience is strongly in evidence in the design oftheneat block of houses,and especiallythe range de-voted to the raising of hybrids and perfecting theyoung plants.
