Bone storage freezer. Technician with boxes of donated bone in a freezer. The boxes contain femur (thigh bone) heads that were removed during hip-replacement operations. They will be used in bone graft surgery, reconstructing bones damaged by disease or injury. This bone tissue is stored at around -80 degrees Celsius. It will last for up to five years.
