An Ottoman flintlock pistol, circa 1820. Smooth bore barrel with a cannon muzzle in mm calibre. The breech bears trophies cut in relief and later gold bronze painting. The flintlock is cut and painted en suite and bears a pseudo-European signature. The entire surface of the walnut stock is carved, and has an indicated ramrod, silver wire inlays on the butt stock, chiselled iron furniture, and an openwork butt cap. Length 40 cm.
