Jasmes Moran who invented a wind propelled bicycle test drives a prototype of his Bio Ped Sailor at Manston airport in Kent. He could trim the sails to catch the prevailing wind. He used a mountain bike, customised with sails, stabilisers, drainpipes, hosepipe, a dog lead, wheelchair wheels, a seat belt and some yacht fittings to make the prototype here. It hit 60mph in strong winds but he failed to find anyone to produce it commercially. 14 July 1993 Picture by Roger Bamber
