It was observed by the v'riter at only one point (Cairo, Georgia) during the season of 1921. () . Die-back caused by Jjotryo_3ph_a6_ria De Not. Important locally in central South Oarolinaj affecting the entire orchard in some cases. (Ludv/ig) . Die-back, cause unknov/n, perhaps duo to malnutrition, was reported from several places in Floi'ida. In one or two places the soil v;as of a sandj'- nature and no fcrtili:ers had been applied.
