RV Sonne (old) was a research vessel serving from 1977 to 2014 mainly in the Pacific and Indian Ocean mostly for geoscience purposes. For some purposes there is an inflatable boat on board. Die Sonne (alt) war als deutsches Forschungsschiff zwischen 1977 und 2014 überwiegend im Pazifik und im Indischen Ozean meist für die Geoforschung unterwegs. Für bestimmte Einsätze kann ein Schlauchboot zu Wasser gelassen werden.
