UK London 05 04 2002 Irish Guards and high ranking military officials march solemnly into the Horseguard s parade alongside the guncarriage with the coffin of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother who died on 30 04 2002 The guncarriage transported the coffin from St James s Palace to lie in state at Westminster Hall The coffin will then go to a funeral service at Westminster Abbey after which she will be finally interred at St George s Chapel in Windsor next to her late husband King George VI Picture Charles Sturge
