Capt. Andrew MacNeil , Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, is recognized with the Army Commendation Medal with V device during an award ceremony on April 29, 2016 in Tacoma, Washington. Capt. MacNeil distinguished himself heroically during combat action in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on January 4, 2016 by completely exposing himself to enemy fire multiple times to aid in the evacuation of a critically wounded teammate.
