The Sheppard Lecture Theatre, opened in 2010, has an interior rammed earth wall, 500mm thick and metres tall which used 320 tonnes of earth. This is a structural wall. There is a corridor between the interior earth wall and the external hempcrete wall of the building seen on the photo on the right. In front of the lecture theatre is the forest garden. The part of the main external wall seen on the photo is timber framed double glazing.
