Red Sea bannerfish on a reef. Red Sea bannerfish (Heniochus intermedius) sheltering behind net fire coral (Millepora dichotoma) on a reef. These fish inhabit coral reefs in the tropical western Indian Ocean, including the Red Sea. They feed on small invertebrates and zooplankton, and can reach a length of around 18 centimetres.
