Today at 1pm the official opening of the seventh annual Spirit of Mother Jones Festival was hosted in the Maldron hotel, the opening drew people from around the world, from places such as Mount Olive, Illinois to South Africa. The festival was opened by Lord Mayor Mick Flynn and members of The Cork Mother Jones Committee. The opening was followed by music from Richard T Cooke, Muddy Lee and the Shandon Shawlies, Joan Goggin and family and specially all the way from Illinois, Loretta Williams
