Following the funeral of 13-year-old Palestinian Abed al-Rahman Obeidallah who was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier in Aida Refugee Camp in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, hundreds of Palestinian youth clashed fiercely with Israeli soldiers in Bethlehem. Palestinian youth took to the streets of Bethlehem, marching from Aida Refugee Camp towards the Israeli military checkpoint in Northern Bethlehem. Israeli soldiers charged into the city, firing thousands of rounds of tear gas, shooting rubber-coated steel bullets, as well as sound bombs. Clashes lasted the entire day. 10 Palestinian youth were injured during the clashes, sustaining injuries from rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas inhalation. The death of the 13-year-old boy from Aida Refugee camp came only hours after another Palestinian youth, 18-year-old, Huthaifa Othman Suleiman from Tulkarem, was also shot and killed by Israeli soldiers. The Palestinian Red Crescent declared a state of emergency claiming that in the past few days, over 200 Palestinians have been injured in clashes with Israeli forces.
