A David Austin English Rose, Shropshire Lass


An English Rose, Shropshire Lass. A tall shrub to or a climber to 5m on an wall, with numerous red thorns. Leaves bluish-green, very healthy. Flowers in sprays, palest flesh pink, fading to white, 4-5ins across, almost single, showing a good boss of stamens. Raised by David Austin in 1968. Parentage: ‘Madame Butterfly’ x ‘Madame Legras de St Germain’, a hybrid tea crossed with an alba.
