Air Force Tech. Sgt. Scott Mathisen, 133rd Maintenance Squadron, soders a micro-unit on the trimming status panel in St. Paul, Minn., April 7, 2022. Mathisen is part of a team of maintainers from five different maintenance squadrons who came together to repair aging lighting control units for their C-130 H3 Hercules fleets. This ingenuity restored the operational status of 11 of 16 lighting control units and saved the Air Force approximately million dollars.
