The harvest Shimotsuki Matsuri festival in Nagano Japan Asia
At Toyamago Village in the Ina Valley, in the middle of December the harvest festival of "Shimotsuki" is held with the parishioners of the local shrine celebrating with traditional dance and Shinto music throughout the night. The next morning, thr purification ceremony of "Yutake-shinji" is held with water being boiled over a furnace and then sprinkled on the participants exemplifying a ritual of purification.
