Ripening 'Red Kuri' climbing squash

Red kuri squash is thin skinned orange colored winter squash, a cultivated variety of the species Cucurbita maxima. It has the appearance of a small pumpkin without the ridges. It belongs to the Hubbard squash group. This is a delicious climbing squash with a sweet nutty flavour. This squash is also excellent for winter storing and will develop a thick skin. Typically the fruits grow to approximately 4-6 inches in diameter.
