He superin-tends the preservation by theauditors of all accounts which havebeen finally adjusted by them, to-gether with the vouchers and certifi-cates relating to the same. He is required, on his own motion, whenin the interests of the Government,to revise any account settled by anyauditor. In any case where, in hisopinion, the interests of the Govern-ment require, he may direct any of.
