Sterling Price ?s staff as Lieutenant Colonel under Brigadier Generals James S. Rains and John B. Clark. One source says that Woodson attained the rank of colonel by the age of 21 (see History of Northwest Missouri, vol. 2, p. 1273 and Sterling Price ?s Lieutenants). Title: William H.
