Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen, is carried from the church in the old port area of Las Palmas (La Isleta) to a a Naval ship for her traditional sea outing during Fiesta del Carmen celebrations. PICTURED: A team of more tha 40 Costaleros carry the 4 tonne structure supporting the statue of Carmen during the four hour procession.
