Central abscess is generally accompanied by symptoms, however slight,namely, pain and loss of power, indicating an inflammatory process, andoccasionally by fluctuations in temperature. Radiographically, the cavityis not as a rule strictly central, and the surrounding dense bone is unequalin its thickness. The outline is often indefinite, the cavity is not very clear,.
