Winged Nut, Third Intermediate Period or later, Dynasty 21–25, ca. 1070–664 , From Egypt; Possibly from Egypt, Northern Upper Egypt, Abydos, Faience, H. x W. cm (4 1/2 x 9 5/16 in.), The goddess of the sky, Nut, is represented here with her protective outspread wings. On her head are cows' horns and the sundisk, which are elements that could be worn by various goddesses. The small holes were made for sewing the pieces onto a mummy's wrappings, but such elements could also be incorporated into beaded nets, which were placed on top of a mummy's wrappings
