View of the River Jumna

The River Jumna (Yumana) has its source in the Himalaya Mountains and flows for 680 miles. The cities of Delhi and Agra are built on it where it flows through the plains of India. This view is taken close to the source of the river, where it is a narrow mountain torrent. Drawn by T A Allom from an original drawn from nature by G F White and engraved by J H Kernot
