This image continues my exploration of fractals. It constantly amazes me that fractals show up constantly in ancient and ethnic art. Did ancient artists discover fractals by observing nature or by applying the mathematical models to their images. Or was it some combination of both? Has this complex art and math been lost, only to be rediscovered with the invention of computers.
