Rostrum slightly longer than head, arising from a slit-like atrium. Antennae slender, times as long as width of head, relative length of segments I:II:III:IV = 25:25:24:18. Pronotum: times as wide as long at middle (128:52). Anterior lobe narrower than posterior lobe (98/128). Anterolateral lobes large and projecting, rounded, expanded posteriorly as lamellate post- median lobes reaching humeri. Lateral margins parallel at humeri, slightly notched before postmedian lobes, then strongly sinuate at level of deep interlobal depression. Anterior disk with a median sulcus, flanked by 2 (1 + 1) conical round elevations and 2 (1 + 1) oblique carinae laterally. Posterior disk elevated between humeri with 2 (1 + 1) small granulate ridges at middle and 2 (1 + 1) converging carinae laterad of them. Posterior margin bisinuate. Scutellum: triangular, shorter than basal width (58/74); base and lateral borders carinate, the latter sinuate before rounded apex. Basal angles with a prominent tubercle. Disk with a granulate lon- gitudinal ridge, basal 1/3 elevated, surface with coarse granulation at base, transversely rugose Fig. 22: Usingerida tenericornis; a-d - left paramere in different Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Museo civico di storia naturale Giacomo Doria (Genoa, Italy).
